Jason Fakeerah specialises in various styles of Urban music from R’n’B and Hip-Hop to Old Skool Garage and House.

His knowledge and experience enable him to cater for all types of audiences, from student crowds, playing a commercial R’n’B/Hip-Hop party set, to upfront weekend style cool club mix, always with a few tricks and surprises thrown in!

Jason is also a part of the Atlantic Records street team and hosts regular parties with giveaways from the labels artists like Missy Elliot, Sean Paul, P.Diddy to name a few.

Jason uses Westen MC as his official host. He is very experienced in interacting with the crowd and currently works alongside Jason at his Pashion/Yoyo residency. Westen is also one of the very few MC's Steve Sutherland uses for bookings when his own MC is unavailable for radio events and club nights.

Jason built his name whilst holding residencies at some of the North's most respected Urban music club nights, such as the Saturday night instsitution of Sugar Daddy's/Ucci at the infamous Fruit Cupboard nightclub.

Since then, Jason’s reputation as a DJ has accelerated rapidly over the last couple of years thanks to his crowd pleasing sets, and ability to work the crowd. Jason is without a doubt, one of the most respected urban music DJ's of the Northern scene.

Jason has also gained recognition for his skills and was DJ of the month and runner up in the Absolute Leeds magazine DJ of the year in 2002.

In 2003 received an award from Galaxy 105 ‘best resident DJ’ for Ucci @The Fruit Cupboard in the Galaxy 105 Nightlife Awards and also was runner up for best DJ in the Leeds Bar and Club Awards 2005 and 2006. This year, Jason went one better in the Leeds Bar & Club Awards, winning the Best DJ Award for 2007.

Jason can still be found playing guest slots at various clubs throughout the UK, as well as playing at his weekly residencies at, Pashion/Yoyo @ Discotheque (Gatecrasher), Leeds and Word Up @ Puro Club 52, Leeds.
