Paul Murray started his DJ career in the early '90's playing at exclusive parties, fashion shows & celebrity openings of shops and bars.  Back then Paul played a mix of soul, funk & disco mixed seamlessly with funky house music.  His skills behind the decks caught the attention of a well known club promoter in Leeds who gave him his first big club break in 1992 DJ'ing every Friday night to 2,000 clubbers for 8 years at the infamous 'Up Yer Ronson' at The Music Factory.

Twice voted 'Best Friday Night in the Country' by Mixmag, 'Up Yer Ronson' very quickly became one of the 'Super Clubs' of the country together with the Saturday night addition at the Music Factory of club night 'Back 2 Basics'.  Both club nights gained recognition alongside such clubs as Cream, Renaissance & Ministry of Sound.

Paul is technically brilliant and has the ability and creativity to work his music by incorporating 3 CD Decks, Effects & Digital Software such as Ableton Live to create an individual sound & style - a talent rarely heard and an experience that has to be seen to be believed.  He has the ability to read a crowd and generate his energy & passion into a vibe that can only be described as truly uplifting.

Paul has been a regular to the party Island of Ibiza since the early '90's and made his DJ debut at Es Paradis in '94 when 'Up Yer Ronson' hosted a one off party.  He played alongside Sasha, Graeme Park, Marshall, Shovell, Mike Pickering, Brandon Block &  Alex P with live PA's from M People & Nightmares On Wax. To this day it still holds the record for the largest crowd Es Paradis has ever experienced with over 4000 clubbers partying 'til the early hours of an unforgettable night.

In the Summer of '96 Paul was offered the residency at the famous Amnesia Club alongside Brandon Block & Alex P.  His sets on the Amnesia terrace playing back to back with Brandon became legendary and often went on long after the sun had come up and the club was supposed to close!

In the same year Paul hosted the pre-club parties at the now World famous Cafe Mambo, taking over from Cafe Del Mar as THE sunset beach bar to be seen in day or night.  Paul made such a good impression that the owner, Xavi, offered him the residency for the following Summer playing alongside Pete Gooding. 

Paul's mix of cool, laidback house kept the beach lovers chilled during the hot summer days but the crowds stayed long after the sun had gone down and the tempo had picked up to dance to his blend of sexy, funky house music.

Paul was responsible for the compilation of Cafe Mambo's 'Beach House' CD which went on to sell over 75,000 copies.

Over the last 16 years he has become one of the UK's most recognised DJ's and was named 'Best Resident DJ to look out for in 1997' as voted by DJ Magazine.  Naturally Paul very quickly earned a reputation second to none within club land and his Premier League status has seen his diary full ever since.

He has worked with and has accolades from some of the biggest DJ's in the World including Sasha, Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Pete Tong, Brandon Block, Graeme Park, DJ Sneak, Angel Moraes, David Morales, Frankie Knuckles & Armand Van Helden; to name but a few.

Paul has had residencies and played regular guest slots at The Space (Leeds), Rehab (Leeds), Bed (Sheffield),  Sugarshack (Middlesbrough),  Shindig (Newcastle),  Tall Trees (Yarm), Baltic (Newcastle), Foundation (Wakefield),  Deja Vu (Hull),  Po Na Na (Harrogate),  Fez Club (Reading) and The Mint Club (Leeds).

He has also guested  at Gatecrasher (Leeds & Sheffield), Love to Be (Sheffield), Back 2 Basics (Leeds), Radio 1 Recovery Tour (UK), Paradise Factory, Holy City Zoo (Manchester), Colours (Glasgow), Yip Yap (Edinburgh), The Pod (Dublin), To The Manor Born (Durham),  Swoon (Stafford), Canal Club (Wolverhampton), Aquarium (London), Gas Club (London), Temple (Bolton) &  Retro Events (UK & Ibiza).

Paul has also played guest spots at the following oversea venues: Atica (Singapore); Leopard Lounge (New York); Tilt (New York); Decos (New York); Fishdance (Dallas); Stark (Dallas); Home (Sydney) Locomotive (Paris); Industry (Malta); Seymore City (Amsterdam);  Set (Faliraki);  Paradiso (Lisbon);  Cream@BCM (Majorca); Bora Bora Beach Club (Ibiza);  Space Terrace (Ibiza);  Pacha (Ibiza); El Divino(Ibiza);  Privilege (Ibiza).

Paul co-presented the Transatlantic Mix Show on Galaxy 105fm alongside Tony Walker & DJ Disciple for 2 years from '99-'01 with over 2 million listeners. The show featured the best upfront house & garage tracks and included exclusive guest mixes from  Armand Van Helden, Roger Sanchez, DJ Sneak, Mousse T, Ultra Nate & Farley Jackmaster Funk.

In 2003, Paul moved to the beautiful area of Marbella in southern Spain to enjoy a better climate & quality of life. He still frequently flies back to the UK and abroad to fulfil his DJ commitments . In the 3 years Paul has been in Marbella he has played at various venues including: Deep @ The Don Carlos Club, Fuel @ Glam, Nikki Beach, TIBV and is currently resident for Miss Moneypenny’s @ Pangea, Puerto Banus.
